The teveno® technology significantly increases the blood flow towards the heart and is a class 1 medical device.

It does more than just intermittent pneumatic compression, also called IPC, because it can be used throughout the day in normal daily life.

By means of a special ultrasound examination, the colour-coded duplex sonography, it could be proven that the flow velocity of the blood in the deep popliteal vein in the direction of the heart is increased up to fourfold when pressure is applied to the heel cushion.
This can significantly reduce the risk of deep vein thrombosis.

Scientific results

The flow in the popliteal vein (deep leg vein system) was examined using colour-coded duplex sonography in 100 patients under the following examination conditions:
(Click here for more detailed scientific research results of the teveno® technology)

Blood flow while standing( 3,8 cm / sec )10%
With heel load after toe stand( 10,1 cm / sec )40%
Heel load with compression stocking Cl. 2( 11,9 cm / sec )45%
Heel load with teveno® technology(24,4 cm / sec )80%
